Thanks to an accidental leak on Amazon, we now have a much better idea of when the highly anticipated Tales from The Borderlands sequel will launch. Now going by a new name, New Tales from The Borderlands, the title was listed on Amazon with a deluxe edition to boot, and even more importantly, was accompanied by a supposed release date; October 21, 2022. Amazon has since taken down the listing, but all it takes is one second for a plethora of accounts to spread it across the internet for everyone to see.
New Tales from The Borderlands (that’s the full title) listed on Amazon with a October 21 datehttps://t.co/biECfswo9n

The listing also had the game’s box art, which as of this writing has not been officially revealed by the developer or the publisher. The listing had the title launching for several platforms, including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/Series S, and the Nintendo Switch. While it was explicitly explained, the game is also presumably coming out for the PC platform as well. The listing also contained a very brief description of the product, some of which pertained to the main story. “Within the perpetually war-torn metropolis of Promethea, you’ll control Anu, Octavio, and Fran on the worst day of their lives.”
According to the description, we play as three brand new protagonists, all of which will more than likely have some connection to the first entry in the spin-off. That spin-off, Tales from The Borderlands, came out in 2014 and was critically acclaimed as one of the best point-and-click adventure entries from the fabled Telltale studios. The game is of course spun off from the extremely popular first-person shooter RPG Borderlands which was created by Gearbox and published by 2K. Hopefully, we’ll hear more about New Tales from The Borderlands and get an official reveal now that it’s essentially been shown to the world by Amazon.
