Just this morning, a new trailer released for the SNK fighting game Samurai Shodown. The trailer reveals that the compilation of games will be added to the Epic Games Store next month. The compilation will include Samurai Shodown (1993), Samurai Shodown II, Samurai Shodown III, Samurai Shodown IV Amakusa’s Revenge, Samurai Shodown V, and Samurai Shodown V Special. That’s not all though, another game being added to the collection is the never before released Samurai Shodown V Perfect.
According to Gamespot, Samurai Shodown V Perfect was meant to be the final game for the NeoGeo, however, even though the game was complete, it was canceled and never saw the light of day. But now gamers will be able to experience the new game, which will have new story elements and more endings. It is currently unknown what these new elements and endings are but gamers will be able to find out for themselves in June.
Each game in the compilation has been updated for online play, as well as using rollback netcode so players can have an uninterrupted gameplay experience. Players will be able to duke it out in both casual and ranked matches, not only that, but the compilation comes with a museum mode complete with concept art, design documents, developer interviews, and a music player with more than 200 tracks.
What is more is it will be entirely free on the Epic Games Store from June 11th at 11am to June 18th, 11am (EDT) ! #StayHome #SNK #EpicGames #SamShohttps://t.co/4ekk9iIHbi pic.twitter.com/atxbUtT9IZ
