Previously, on PC only seven years ago, Rust will be coming to PS4 and Xb1 later this year. Today, Double Eleven and Facepunch Studios announced a new trailer and beta for the game. While there is no release date yet, the video featured a cinematic trailer showing off the first looks of the game since its announcement in 2019.
In case you haven’t played Rust, the game is a multiplayer survival game originally developed by Facepunch Studios. It was released early access in 2013 and fully released in 2018 for PC only.
The game is set in an open world where players must try to survive. Players who are only given a rock and a torch at the beginning of the game must survive the elements by stealing and trading resources and crafting items. Various weapons can be made and traded in safe zones. These weapons range from melee to guns with different bullet types.
While there are hostile animals in the game that can harm you, the most imminent threat is other players if they can simply maintaining hunger, thirst, and health. If players can prevent their death at the hands of other players, then their chance of surviving definitely increases. Since the game’s release on PC, the game has created a large fan base, and after the announcement of the console version, there has been a lot of support and excitement surrounding the beta and the game’s eventual release.
Can’t wait to play! Just glad there’s actual movement with the game, just gotta be patient for a code or open beta. Thanks for bringing rust to console
