New Overwatch Art Leaked on Blizzard Store

Blizzard is expecting to release new character for Overwatch soon, named Sombra. Even though Sombra has yet to be released, art of Sombra was found on Blizzard’s merchandise store.

The image is autographed in the bottom right corner by John Polidora. Polidora is listed on ArtStation as a “Blizzard/Overwatch illustrator, concept artist and graphic designer. It has been removed from the Blizzard store, but it was reuploaded on Imgur.

Sombra is pictured on the hand of the giant Omnic, with beams of energy linking her hands to the hands of Omnic, leaving Omnic’s hands with what appears to be neon purple veins in its fingers. It looks like Sombra has taken control of Omnic, which could be what sets Sombra apart from the other characters which has the capable of changing up gameplay.

Even though Blizzard has yet to release any information about Sombra, fans have speculated that she will be a hacker and capable of using some higher technology based on what Blizzard has already released via trailers and teaser trailers. Despite the speculation, it still is unknown what role Sombra will actually play during gameplay.

As you can see, Sombra is striking a similar position in both the leaked art and Sombra’s previous leak pictured above. It was featured on the same document that correctly detailed the Overwatch Halloween event.

Blizzard is expecting to release new Overwatch content at Blizzcon 2016 starting on November 4. It’s suspected that there may be something new that coincides with the Día de los Muertos tying into Sombra’s Mexican origin.

An October 28 post on the Overwatch blog mentions”Los Muertos” a fictional gang in the Overwatch universe who’s “organizing a protest to coincide with LumériCo’s unveiling of the Dorado nuclear plant on November 1st.” If that is true, the Dorado nuclear plant may be a new map.

Blizzcon is completely sold out but can be streamed by purchasing virtual Blizzcon ticket for $40. Not only will you be able to see the press conferences and the announcements, you will also be able to see live performance by “Weird Al” Yankovic.

I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
