Out for the public on May 24th on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC, fans are starved for news on Overwatch. The hype surrounding the game has been nothing short of epic and frenzied. Today, to capitalize on the excitement, Blizzard released an excellent animated short further introducing fans to techy super Gorilla, Winston, called “Recall.”

The highly anticipated shooter game has been compared to earlier, successful multiplayer shooter game, Team Fortress 2, for its wide variety of classes, and a colorful array of characters that fans can heavily relate to. Also, Valve similarly produced well received animated shorts featuring introduction to their characters.
Even more exciting is that it appears Blizzard will follow up with similar animated shorts centered around more of their characters. While we have had a long wait for this upcoming online shooter, Blizzard seems to be amping everyone up for the game’s release this May.
Overwatch is holding a closed beta, with an open test period running May 5-9.
Players accessing the game with an Xbox One will be able to play the multiplayer campaign early; the open beta will be available May 3. Hopefully we won’t see server troubles with the surge of fans who are sure to come out of the woodwork, such as with other popular online shooter games.
We can look forward to purchasing Overwatch for PS4, PC, and Xbox One on May 24th.
