The Fire Emblem: Three Houses DLC is only a few days away, and some new information has been revealed about the new characters that will be added in the DLC. According to a tweet by Nintendo UK, players will be able to “interact with and recruit the four Ashen Wolves in Part 1 of the main game!”. This means that players who don’t recruit them by the end of the first part of the main game will be unable to recruit them in part 2.
As you progress in Fire Emblem: Three Houses – Cindered Shadows, you can interact with and recruit the four Ashen Wolves in Part 1 of the main game!
Once they’ve joined your house, they can take part in battles & classes. They’ll also stick with you into Part 2 of the main game. pic.twitter.com/03Q6lkP95v

While the story for the Cindered Shadows DLC hasn’t been revealed yet, the tweet seems to imply that the DLC story will be separate from the main game, but will allow the four new characters from the Ashen Wolves to be integrated into the second part of the main campaign once they are recruited. The four new characters are Yuri, Constance, Hapi, and Balthus, and while the main character has been living in the monastery of Garreg Mach, these four have resided underneath it in the area known as Abyss. It is unknown if the new DLC characters will be available as romantic partners or if they will be available as same-sex romantic partners. If players want to enjoy more of Byleth right now they can purchase him as a DLC character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. There is no more information available regarding the DLC Cindered Shadows at the moment but it is very likely that more information will be revealed soon.
