The first bonus is the Blacktide Dye, which will be obtainable from the first dye merchant.
The second bonus is the Blacktide Sharpshot Bow, a new weapon obtainable from the first merchant in Burning Shores.
No further details have been confirmed about Burning Shores. However, the expansion will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Game director Mathijis de Jonge expressed excitement about the PlayStation 5’s capabilities to envigorate the DLC’s post-apocalyptic Los Angeles and player experience. He explained, “Using the PS5’s processing power we can run certain simulations at higher speed creating more lifelike results and a better gameplay experience. On PS5, the Horizon Forbidden West base game runs at a higher resolution and at a higher framerate than on PS4, and assets are more detailed which makes the overall quality much better.”
Burning Shores begins when Aloy receives a call over her focus after the final main quest Singularity. She will travel to a new region south of the Tenakth Clan Lands, which will provide players with a thrilling storyline based in the untamed wilds of Los Angeles, now a volcanic archipelago. Players will also be introduced to new characters, machines, and adventures.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is scheduled to release on April 19th as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. The main game is currently available on the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
