It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything new and substantial from Bandai Namco Entertainment about Bless Unleashed. Last time mxdwn Games talked about it the game had recently been revealed with general details and not a lot about a release date of any kind. But at E3, while no set date was given, the developers have shown off plenty of new gameplay and more and more information is available that gives us more insights into what this MMORPG has in store for the community. Check out some of the latest extended gameplay:
Unique for a major MMORPG, Bandai has stayed true to saying that Bless Unleashed will not only be free-to-play, but will be one of the few massive online games on an exclusive console. The new gameplay revealed at E3 shows off quite a lot and tries to exemplify how they plan on differentiating themselves from other MMORPG’s. Unlike other titles of the genre, instead of the typical roles of healers, tanks, and damage (DPS) Bless Unleashed roles will “compliment each other instead of depend on each other” so that no one is waiting on a particular kind of player in order to complete an activity. Straying away from the “holy trinity” as the developers call it, this will no doubt offer avenues for new and veteran gamers alike to an endgame.
There are also actions controlled by the player’s choice instead of an action bar, which would again be typical for an MMO. The new gameplay above does a great job of showcasing the combo system and even puts the “formulas” to these combos on the screen for the Xbox. Developing this on a console for Bandai has allowed them to present a beautiful game with low frame rates and multiple servers across the world dependent on the player base.
It’s great to see some more of Bless Unleashed, which is heading to the Xbox One at some point during this year or as it is listed “Coming Soon.”
