The month of March is great time for all PlayStation fans with their Spring Fever promotion that offers discounts on new weekly digital games to new apps being released on the PlayStation Store.
While the announcement of this month’s PlayStation Plus free games has not been made yet, this week PlayStation will be adding several exciting titles for you to choose from. If you like chaotic, co-op, top shooter down games then Helldivers is the game for you! Released today on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, Helldivers takes you across the universe to combat hostile alien life forms and “bring managed democracy to the universe once and for all!” You do not have to combat the enemy alone since it features cross play, cross save, and cross chat between all three PlayStation platforms. Choose up to three friends to join you in your fight for Earth either locally or online. Helldivers is out today as part of this week’s Spring Fever promotion and PS Plus members get an additional 10% off through March 9th, bringing the price down to $17.99.
Alongside Helldivers there are several new titles being released this week. In Aces of the Air, fly World War II airplanes dodging and strafing your enemies to complete missions. Another top-down shooter game released this week is Crimsonland, complete quests by fighting off aliens, spiders, and mutant lizards to unlock your arsenal of weapons. Heading back over to the World War II era, combat the undead before they overrun Europe with Zombie Army Trilogy. This third person shooter game was created by the makers of Sniper Elite 3. In OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood skate your way through the streets and some of the game’s most cinematic locations. Early in January, PlayStation announced that their game streaming service PlayStation Now was coming to PlayStation 4. The app has received great feedback and has added more games for the month of March. InFAMOUS 2, Twisted Metal, R-Type Dimensions, Alone in the Dark: Inferno, and Operation Flashpoint: Red River are all available on PlayStation Now. Another new app for PS4 announced today is HBO GO. Once you verify your cable/satellite service through the HBO website, you can watch all the latest shows HBO has to offer such as hit series Game of Thrones.
