Square Enix released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XV at the 2014 Jump Festa Festival in Japan. It showcased the games beautiful cinematic scenes and a rough overview of the games story line.

The trailer begins with the city of Insomnia being overthrown in a government coup, by an imperial force. Also it officially introduces us to the first female character of the game, Cidney or Cid, a female mechanic. In the final moments of the trailer we see a battle against an enormous titan creature getting ready to take place.

There is still no word on the official release date, as stated in the trailer the game is still a work in progress. We hope to hear more on the development of Final Fantasy XV in the new year. Please visit their official website for the latest updates and trailers.
