New evidence has been discovered that strongly hints that Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption II is coming to PC. Everyone in the gaming community has been wondering if the game would ever make it over to the platform, but like GTA V, it would seem that a PC port is coming. This new evidence comes from Twitter user JakoMako51 who found an interesting detail in the Rockstar Social Club source code:
The Rockstar Games Social Club is the official community platform for all things Rockstar Games. It allows gamers to enhance and extend their gaming experience related to Rockstar Games titles. You can get Social Club plus Twitch Prime benefits such as gifts, bonuses, and discounts in Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online, you can gather your friends on the platform and create your own crews, there is also a ton of community content that you can discover from the community of Social Club and in-game. Social Club also tracks your game progress so you could compare how well you are doing in the game with others.
This isn’t the first time that Red Dead Redemption II has been hinted to be coming out on PC. Back in May, LinkedIn profile for a developer at Rockstar Toronto had Red Dead Redemption II listed for three platforms, PS4, XB1, and PC. Last year, another source code suggesting Red Dead Redemption II for PC was found within the official Red Dead Redemption II Companion App. Nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, but this new evidence makes Red Dead Redemption II on PC seem more and more of a reality.
