New Dating Sim, Date (Almost) Anyone Simulator Almost Too Real

Hey, are you constantly single? Do you have any idea how the concept of how dating works? No? Same here. You could spend your days on dating sites and apps or you could play a dating simulator. Honestly, that’s going to the closest thing to dating as you’re going to get. There is dating sim out there called Date (Almost) Anyone SimulatorYou can get the game by making a donation to itch.io and you can get all of the DLC endings for $2.

When you first play the game, it looks like a normal dating simulator, all fluffy and comforting. It starts as cliché; you work as a barista at a coffee shop, all of the customers are seen as potential suitors.

The game allows you to stray from how the game is played, having consequences for every bad choice you make. The game has multiple endings. One makes you watch a 30-minute video about algebraic matrices(never thought I’d had to write that in a video game article) if you don’t wash your hands after you use the bathroom. If you tell someone that you just want to be friends, the game breaks the fourth wall, with the person you reject saying that they don’t play the game to just be friends.

If you play the game the correct way, what happens is like someone accidentally flirting with bot on a dating site. At the end of the game when you’re supposed to tell the character that you love him or her, the game shuts off and you’re prompted to explain why you played the game in a Tumblr ask box. It’s a buzzkill if dating sims are basically your only form of dating. Anyone with a sense of humor to go along with their dating problems, will probably get a kick out of this game.

You can watch Let’s Play legend Markiplier play the game in the following video.

Bryan Ingram: My name is Bryan. I just graduated from High Point University with a degree in Journalism. I'm 25 and writing has always been a part of my life. I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
