Yesterday, the last single-player quest for Season 5 of Apex Legends was released, and with it, came several teasers for what could be in store for players for the next season. After the final quest, players with 45 or more treasure packs could access another mission called Dust to Dust that takes players from Slum Lakes to a vault known as The Lost Tomb. Inside the vault, players will find a familiar face from Titanfall 2, the simulacrum pilot Ash. Ash was initially teased in the Apex Legends Season 4 Cinematic Launch Trailer, but it now appears she might be taking a larger role in the story of Apex Legends.
In order to get to her, players must traverse through the abandoned vault and go deep underground. Players will eventually find the tattered remains of the once-powerful secondary antagonist of Titanfall 2 in the center of a large chamber, with her head on the floor. In order to complete the mission, players must reattach her head to her body which seemingly revives her, after which she short circuits for a bit stating, Ashes to Ashes until she states her name, Ash. While it is unknown what the significance of this mission is, Gamespot theorizes that this revival is teasing that gamers will be able to play as Ash in Season 6.
Aside from possibly hinting a new character, Gamespot also theorizes that the ending also hinted at a brand new map for Season 6. At the end of the mission, players are shown a chat room conversation between Octane and Lifeline. In the chat room, Lifeline can be seen stating “If we go to Olympus, we go to Olympus.” Olympus is a city on Psamathe, which was hinted at a bit before Season 4 started, which has led Gamespot to theorize that this hints at one of the new maps players will be able to enjoy once Season 6 starts. At the moment, there is no concrete information regarding what players will be able to enjoy for Season 6 of Apex Legends but it is likely that more information will be revealed at a later date.
