The list of celebrities continues to grow for the upcoming release of Minecraft: Story Mode. Earlier today it was announced that comedian John Hodgman, who is well known for his role as the PC user in a series of Apple commercials opposite Justin Long, has joined the cast of the Telltale Games project.
Hodgman joins a cast which includes Patton Oswald, Ashley Johnson, Billy West, Paul Reubens, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Grey Griffin, Brian Posehn, Scott Porter, Catherine Taber, and Martha Plimpton.
The upcoming adventure game will have a digital launch on a huge group of platforms — which includes Linux, Mac, Windows PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS and Android devices. The game will launch on Oct. 13 with a boxed season pass available at retail stores on Oct. 21. There are also plans for a release on the Wii U and PlayStation Vita with a set release date that has yet to be determined.
Telltale has also announced a special world premier launch to be held at the Hollywood ArcLight Cinerama Dome. Ticket information is available by mailing minecraftpremiere@telltalegames.com.
