Netmarble is bringing two of its most anticipated RPGs, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin and Mongil: Star Dive, to Tokyo Game Show 2025 with hands-on demos and special events for fans attending in Japan. The showcase will run from September 25 to 28 and marks the first time both games will be playable in the region, according to a press release.
Tokyo Game Show has long been one of the biggest events on the gaming calendar, drawing media and players from around the world. Netmarble has already launched a teaser site for the event that includes its TGS 2025 lineup and preview images, with more information expected in the coming weeks.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is an open-world action RPG based on Nakaba Suzuki’s hit manga and anime series, which has sold over 55 million copies worldwide. The game follows an original multiverse storyline that blends familiar characters from The Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse with new, game-exclusive heroes. Players can explore Britannia, build teams, and experiment with different combinations of characters and weapons in a tag-based combat system. The TGS demo will feature three different experiences: a story-focused mode, an open-world segment to explore the game’s environments, and a time-attack challenge where players battle demons from the original series. Cooperative party play will also be supported.
Mongil: Star Dive serves as the follow-up to Netmarble’s 2013 mobile RPG Monster Taming, offering an expanded scope and updated visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5. The game’s “Tag Play” system lets players control a party of three characters in fast-paced combat while taming and synthesizing a wide variety of monsters. Following its public debut at gamescom 2025 earlier this month, the TGS build will give players a chance to journey with protagonists Cloud, Verna and Nyanners while encountering additional playable characters like Ophelia and Francis.
Netmarble will share further updates on both titles ahead of and during Tokyo Game Show, including stage events and developer presentations, through the official TGS 2025 special website. The company’s portfolio already includes games like Solo Leveling: Arise, Seven Knights Idle Adventure, and The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, and both of its upcoming RPGs aim to continue that trend of adapting major IPs into expansive interactive experiences.
