Back in 2023, Elysium Game Studio showed off its newest title, an action RPG set in a dark, futuristic Berlin titled NEO BERLIN 2087. And over the years, the studio has shown off the game at various events like the Gamescom Showcase, letting people see what it holds, and over time, it has built up hype, with many wondering when it would release. And now, ahead of the 2026 Gamescom Showcase, Elysium Game Studio has dropped a release announcement trailer, with NEO BERLIN 2087 set for release in 2028 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
NEO BERLIN 2087 is a futuristic game similar to Cyberpunk, but instead of exploring Night City, the game takes you to a dark, futuristic Berlin where you play as Nolan, a detective—tasked with a difficult mission to find and protect the police chief’s daughter. With state-of-the-art technology and unique abilities, Nolan will set out to find Natalie and solve the mystery behind the sudden murder of her father. In the newest trailer, we got a good look at the world and our main protagonists. The game is very familiar to Cyberpunk, so if you’re a fan of futuristic games or that game in particular, you’re right at home. The game has intense gunplay, stealth, combat, and mysteries. The game also features a slow-motion dive similar to Max Payne and, overall, appears to draw inspiration from many open-world games.
NEO BERLIN 2087 is shaping up to be a big action RPG with many elements similar to other titles mentioned and making it its own. The game looks very impressive in its current state, and with 2 more years to cook, it will only continue to improve as more trailers are released and maybe even a demo is released, allowing fans to experience it more. NEO BERLIN 2087 is set for release in 2028 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
