In typical 2K fashion the dramatics were ramped up for this apex basketball simulator. The cinematic trailer is set to a swelling tune of “Friction” by Imagine Dragons and the song plays perfectly into the building hype of the ultra realistic gameplay elements.
While watching the trailer it is impossible not to notice the improved “human” elements. It seems developer Visual Concepts spent extra time perfecting the various ticks that each NBA player has.
From Damian Lillard’s off balance 3 point shot to Lebron James’s “dirt off the shoulder” celebration, each animation looks fluid and beautiful. 2K17 takes what made 2K16 a gorgeous marvel and perfects it. The jerseys sway more naturally, the player’s in game facial expressions have life in them, and the crowd looks more realistic than ever.

Dear heavens thats a hype inducing trailer that sets the bar immensely high for other sports gaming franchises. As always 2K is bringing the goods and is seemingly delivering an intense, adrenaline-filled rollercoaster ride that puts you right on the court.
Be sure to reserve a copy as soon as possible because there are certain pre-order bonuses you wont want to miss. Pre-ordering a standard copy will grant you access to early tip-off starting September 16th as well as the ability to play as the 92′ Dream Team.
