Natsume Details Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea in New Trailer Ahead of September 24 Launch

Natsume and developer IMAGICA GEEQ have released the first trailer for Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, highlighting the game’s new open-world system, farming, exploration, village life, characters, and animal companion systems. The game is scheduled to launch on September 24, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The trailer gives a fuller look at Teradea after the game was first announced in March. The story begins around Bloomfield Village, where the player character was raised before the Forest of Echoes begins spreading mist across the land. Wolves and other dangers start appearing outside the village at night, and what begins as a mission precipitated by the wolf threat expands into a larger effort to help the Guardian Spirits restore Teradea. Players will discover different villages during their journey. Tidewind is a port village affected by storms, Quarrytop is a mining village connected to earthquakes, and Maplehill is described as a once-thriving cultural center whose community has faded. The Harvest Goddess and Doc Jr. are also part of the story, with the player uncovering more about the mist and the disasters affecting each region as they travel.

While Echoes of Teradea still follows the familiar Harvest Moon cycle of farming, raising animals, harvesting crops, and building relationships, the new trailer places a heavy focus on movement across the open-world system. Teradea includes towns, wilderness areas, caves with ore and gems, and remote islands that can be reached by finding nautical charts. Rare animals and collectibles can also be found away from the main villages. Animal companions are part of that exploration. Different companions and mounts come with abilities that help the player reach hidden areas, break through obstacles, and uncover treasure. Player movement has also been expanded with jumping, ladder climbing, and vine scaling, giving players more ways to move through areas that would have been blocked off otherwise. The trailer also shows how longer trips away from home will work. Campsites let players rest, recover stamina, and cook meals while traveling. Some traveling merchants can also be found during these trips, carrying items not available through regular shops.

The relationship side of the game includes 10 romance options, split between five bachelors and five bachelorettes. Players will be able to build bonds with characters across Teradea while continuing to develop their farm and support the villages they visit.

Pre-orders are currently available through Amazon and the Natsume Store for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5. Those pre-orders include Lupo, a baby wolf plush described as the Bloomfield Guardian, while supplies last.
