Here’s that trailer for Murdered: Soul Suspect, Square Enix’s up-and-coming high-concept, supernatural, action-adventure game. The game should have been called Ghost Cop, and might as well be, because that’s pretty much what it’s all about.
Not wanting to stray too far from the niche Squeenix carved out with Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Murdered is centred on a noire-esque ex-cop, with a Clint Eastwoody voice, trying to solve his own murder. This time, in lieu of returning as a cyborg, the player will remain dead and attempt solve his own murder as a ghost cop. It remains to be seen whether the suspect will be allowed due process and sit trial in Ghost Court, but the trailer should give you a taste of what the game’s all about.
