Warner Bros. is coming up on the release date for their Super Smash-esque game called Multiversus. The game will feature several of Warner Brothers’ characters fighting in arenas with their various special abilities. As the game gets closer to the release date, Warner Bros. is announcing that a few new characters will be coming to the game.
The first character that was announced for Multiversus is Lebron James. It may be odd seeing a real-life person being in the game, but James recently starred in the movie Space Jam: A New Legacy. James was announced at San Diego Comic-Con and is already expected to be a popular player once he is officially released into the game on July 26 and he is available for the public to play.
The next two characters will be the stars of the adult show Rick and Morty. Both Rick and Morty Sanchez will be available to play in the game sometime during Season 1. Morty will be available to play sooner than Rick, who will be joining the lineup at a later date in Season 1. Warner Bros. did not offer much insight on how they would interact in the game, but many fans would assume they will use the plethora of tools available to them in their television show.
The new additions to Multiverus’ lineup will help bolster the already high interest in the game. Multiversus already includes well-known characters such as Bugs Bunny, Batman, Shaggy, and even Jake the Dog. As Multiversus comes closer to the official release date, fans should expect even more news about the overall gameplay and what will be available for them.
