MouseCraft Trailer Announces Release To PSN On July 8th

Indie studio based in Warsaw, Poland, Crunching Koalas, have released a trailer for their puzzle game MouseCraft, which will launch on July 8th in America and July 9th in Europe. It will be available on PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam and will be published by Curve Digital on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, which will be a Cross-buy title and Cross-save.

MouseCraft, as you can tell from the image above and the trailer released, is not another sandbox game. Instead this game is a mix between Lemmings and Tetris, where you, the crazy cat scientist, control the environment to make the mice navigate through obstacles, and gather collectibles in order to get to cheese at the end. You will also be facing against enemies, which are mechanical rats and you will need to defeat them by either explosives, electric bricks or lead them into acid and water obstacles.

The game will feature 80 levels in puzzle mode, with 8 different tetromino blocks, 4 different locations, and also you will be able to customize levels, which you can share through Steam Workshop or through the game systems. The studio mentions that the main storyline will offer around 6-8 hours of gameplay.

MouseCraft is currently available for $9.99 via Steam’s Early Access, which gives you access to current version of the game, and to the updates leading up to the final launch. Plus you will receive the game’s original soundtrack composed by Mikolai Stroinski, who also composed Dark Souls 2 announcement trailer. The game will be $14.99 once launched on Steam.
