MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Drops Official Launch Trailer

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, a detective shooter game will arrive April 16th on Steam, Xbox, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 according to its official website. Before its launch, yesterday April 8th, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire released its official launch trailer on YouTube, marking the latest expose for the upcoming game. As stated on the Game’s Steam page Launch Trailer Announcement, the trailer gives a “fresh look at the other features that MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has to offer,” giving fans a treat before its release day.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire‘s official launch trailer opens up to guns, a lot of them, as through a first person viewpoint, Mouse uses various kinds of guns to shoot at mice holding weapons, then he blows up an entire building. Mouse walks towards the no entry point part of a skyscraper, before some ink is shot and he falls into a trap. The trailer in a very cartoon opening way unveils MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, the game’s title, before Mouse is seen falling out of the sky, and landing on a plane wing.

The trailer highlights the game as a Fumi Games and PlaySide reveal, before the world of MOUSE: P.I opens, full of cityscapes then a car comes down a driveway. The face of MOUSE P.I. is revealed as he is driving the car. The scene changes back to a first person viewpoint as Mouse explains how he came to the town. “It didn’t seem like much at first.” Mouse echoes as npc’s are shown bouncing slowly in place as they talk and grill things, another mouse with a bat comes towards Mouse but he’s kicked back, a bell sounds and the mouse falls down bloody. While holding his revolver, Mouse interacts with items, like a picture which opens up on screen and a book which winks. Mouse heads inside a bar, the screen moves forward past bouncing characters, until in first person view, Mouse looks through a camera at a dead body line on the ground. In a quick montage of a magic show poster, cops beating up a guy, the trailer moves to show the door of Jack Pepper Private eye. Jack Pepper, our MOUSE P.I., who’s here to solve “the big one.”

The trailer shows the movement screen of the game, as through a birds eye view, players can see a small car moving through a mini cityscape. The trailer also expands on the locations of the game, as Jack moves around different places such as a restaurant, a building lobby and the train station as people bounce in place. Jack fights against various mice in suits in random buildings, causes explosions that turn mice black in the classic explosion pose, he freezes characters in a jail and they turn into ice scraps. Jack also appears in an underground cave where he shoots down demons holding staffs.

The Game mechanics really shine, as Players are shown, an underground lab with weapons, a lock picking mechanic to open a safe, and a shop where players can spend and buy comic books, newspapers and ammunition for Jack. Evidence when found appears to stick onto an evidence board, Tammy who helps upgrade Jack’s weapon designs and Jack tests out a lot more guns such as an acid one. The game also shows a mechanic where Jack eats something out of a can and gains huge muscles, and card games against opponents e.t.c. With such an action packed trailer, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire players can expect to find lot to do in the game, when it drops April 16th.
