Moss: The Forgotten Relic eyes a mid 2026 release, according to the new Official Announcement Trailer that came out earlier today. The game is expected to be on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation and Xbox as noted on the game’s website and trailer.
Moss: The Forgotten Relic will be the newest iteration of the Moss Series, following Moss and Moss: Book II. It aims to “unite” the two older games, according to its Steam’s About page, “into a definitive singular adventure, beautifully enhanced and reimagined for its debut on PC.” So curious players can take a look at the earlier Moss Series to know what to expect.
To get an even greater picture of the upcoming game, the Announcement Trailer gives us a sneak peak. It shows, of course, our Mouse protagonist Quill exploring the world of Moss. She enters into a hallway full of mouse hero statues, from there she runs and jumps through branches and pathways. Quill runs through a mouse village and pulls down the lever to a locked gate. A glowing figure with a mask on looks at Quill and Quill looks back, as the narrator states “our fate rests with Quill.”
Quill sets off on a floating and glowing box that can be controlled, and avoids a huge mechanical eye, she runs through a city with lava hot chains on doors and what seems to be lava pathways as the narrator states Quill “could change the fate of both our worlds.” She enters into a lava and mechanical forge where enemies are waiting and takes out her sword. Quill continues pulling levers, and going into a magically locked mouse castle, that’s full of leaves, pathways and a lava lock on one door. She goes to an altar of another masked creature where she gains a ball of light.
Moss: The Forgotten Relic is a very popular game and this iteration for PC will be a treat to fans of the game. To keep updated on the game, you can Wishlist it on Steam, or follow Polyarc’s socials to be notified about updates.
