Hold on to your game consoles, because Mortal Kombat 11 just got much more intense. NetherRealm Studios has just confirmed that Jade will be joining the fight in Mortal Kombat 11. The trailer released for Jade revealed some skills and movesets she will have the ability to perform while in Kombat. Her movesets now grant her better mobility to set up combos compared to Mortal Kombat 9. In Mortal Kombat 11, the zombie-like ninja sports a new outfit in staple green, a bold color to match her crushing blow of a personality she distends.
NetherRealm’s official website describes Jade’s incarnation as “Now resurrected by an evil sorcerer, she serves the Netherrealm as an undead Revenant. Death hasn’t slowed Jade down, though. She still thrashes her enemies with her bo staff, razorrang, and patronizing put-downs.” Jade appeared in the franchise as an unplayable character in the series’ second entry, then reappeared in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 as their official debuted character. Her last appearance was in Mortal Kombat 9 and now gamers can actually play her character in Mortal Kombat 11.
Jade is a fairly fast fighter who is good at space control and pushing her opponents back. The use of her bo staff and daggers dish out damage from a slight distance as well.
NetherRealm Studios has also confirmed characters such as Kabal, D’Vorah, Kano and several other familiar characters. What started out as an internet meme and spread quickly on social media was Scooby Doo’s Shaggy joining the fight in Mortal Kombat 11. Although, quite amusing as it may be, it was confirmed Shaggy will not be joining Mortal Kombat 11. So to all the Scooby Doo fans, better luck next time.
Director Ed Boon revealed during Mortal Kombat 11’s gameplay debut some in game customization options their gaming audience will have the option to try out. He announced that each character had 3 pieces of gear players can interchange and more general makeover options as well. For example, Scorpion can switch the katana he uses along with his gear and masks. Another great feature is that gamers can now customize a character’s fighting ability.
Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled to release on April 23 on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game will have a beta test beforehand scheduled for March, but only accessible on PS4 and Xbox if any gamers wanted to try it out before pre-ordering.
