Developer Little Chicken Game Company, alongside publishers XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe, has announced that its cozy, goth-flavored life sim Moonlight Peaks has sold past 200,000 copies. The game came out on July 7, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC through Steam, and Google Play Games, which puts the milestone at roughly three weeks on the market.Moonlight Peaks opens with a young vampire out to prove a point to a doubting father: that even the undead can lead a life built on kindness rather than fear. Making that case means settling into a town shared with werewolves, witches, mermaids, and other creatures of the night, befriending them and, if the player chooses, courting them through the game’s supernatural dating scene. The player takes over the family’s haunted cottage and decorates it to taste, works the surrounding land into a farm, and leans on brewed potions and a growing book of spells to pull in a better harvest. Seven families live in the town, and players will spend time untangling their histories throughout the game, with the one rule being that players must always return to their coffin at the end of the night.
The game released in a standard edition, priced at $34.99 on most platforms and $39.99 for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, alongside a Digital Deluxe Edition on Steam at $44.97 that adds a digital art book and soundtrack. The title carries a T for Teen rating from the ESRB on consoles and mobile, with the PC version unrated. The response since launch has leaned positive from both directions. Averages sit at 81 percent on Metacritic and 79 percent on OpenCritic, and player reviews on Steam land at a Very Positive 89 percent.
Moonlight Peaks is out now on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and Google Play Games, with a free demo available on the game’s Steam page.
