During its time, Monster Hunter: World has shared many crossovers with other franchises. Last night, they just had another when a new quest ends with outfits from the Assassin’s Creed franchise. If you participate in the quest, you’ll get to either look like Bayek from Assassin’s Creed Origins or you can get a cloak like Ezio Auditore. While these crossover events are usually announced on social media, the post related to this event made sure that any who took on the quest would get a surprise after completing the event.
The quest, SDF: Silent, Deadly, and Fierce pits players against some of the game’s more aggressive creatures. Players will have to face an Odogoron, Deviljho and the Lunastra. For those who don’t know, an Odogoron is “fanged wyvern that resembles a feral dog.” It’s “covered in red scales and bony protrusions.” The Deviljho is essentially a dinosaur and the Lunastra is an elder dragon, which can be some of the toughest hunts in the game. The quest will last until January 10, 2019, and this newest crossover is just one of the many that have appeared in the game. Monster Hunter: World has also crossed over with franchises like Devil May Cry, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Final Fantasy in the past. Next year, they are set to crossover with The Witcher III: Wild Hunt as Geralt Of Riva himself will make an appearance in the game.
Also coming next year is a paid expansion called Iceborne. The expansion takes place after the events of Monster Hunter: World‘s campaign. and it will bring new weapons, quests, environments, and monsters. The expansion is set to release in Autumn 2019. The Witcher crossover will come in early 2019 as players will get to play as Geralt. The collaboration will bring in some of the RPG elements of The Witcher series and players will be sent on Witcher-inspired quests.
