Developer Monster Couch has officially revealed that the digital adaptation of the popular tabletop strategy game, Flamecraft, will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on September 17. Alongside the announcement, the studio released a fresh trailer showcasing the game’s cozy world, colorful dragon companions, and core strategy elements. The new promotional footage gives players a closer look at the relaxing gameplay loop they can expect at launch.
In Flamecraft, players step into a whimsical fantasy setting where dragons and humans live side by side. Acting as a Flamekeeper, your objective is to place cute dragon artisans throughout a local shopping district to help merchants produce unique items. The visual presentation faithfully captures the original tabletop artwork created by Sandara Tang, translating those illustrations into a lively 3D town filled with active shops, market stalls, and laboratories. Players diving into the single-player experience will also encounter a standalone narrative mode that expands upon the board game’s backstory. The cozy mood is further complemented by an original soundtrack composed by Pawel Gorniak, who previously scored titles such as Wingspan and Quilts and Cats of Calico.
The game supports both single-player and multiplayer modes for up to five players. On each turn, players can visit different local businesses, such as Gnome Depot, Drake of Cakes, or Draconic Tonic, to gather essential crafting ingredients or enchant the storefronts. Applying enchantments triggers special combinations that activate every dragon housed within that shop. Players can also utilize Fancy Dragon cards to gain immediate benefits or secure end-game bonuses, all in pursuit of collecting the highest reputation score to earn the Master of Flamecraft title. According to the developer, every match features a randomized arrangement of dragons, shops, and available enchantments.
A playable demo for Flamecraft is currently available ahead of its launch next month.
