Yesterday, developer and publisher Mojang and Xbox Studios have announced and launched a trailer for the new DLC for The Minecraft Movie. The DLC is now available for free for players only at the Minecraft Marketplace. Players will be able to access specific content from the movie as well as new skins, events, and more.

Throughout the trailer, the developers tease new skins that were based off of the actors and actresses from the film like Steave and Garrett, the setting that was also in the movie, as well as new mini-games from specific scenes in the movie such as the flying scene and the zombie invasion at the beginning of the film.

According to an article on GameRant, there will be three mini-games and a total amount of seven playable characters from the movie. The mini-games are set in an arcade style in Garrett’s video game store, and players will also be able to interact with Garrett as well. Players will be able to choose the character or skin when starting the game.

The first mini-game is First Night Survival, which is based off of the first attack the characters experienced in the film. The objective of the game is to survive as long as the player is able to. Players will have to break and build their own defenses away from the enemy mobs. Players will also have to kill enemy mobs and loot chests along the way.

The second mini-game is Elytra Chase, where players fly through a set course that consists of a variety of biomes as well as dodging obstacles and getting boosts like Elytra and Rockets. In this mini-game, it includes the piglin-ghast combo from the movie.

Lastly, Mansion Stealth is the final mini-game that players can play. The primary objective is to steal the Earth Crystal from the Mansion and escape. Players will not have a map to guide them and there are mobs lingering throughout the Mansion, making the mini-game more difficult for the players to beat.
