Despite Modern Warfare 3’s rocky start with its campaign being regarded as the worst of the series, the game has somehow made a slight comeback from its initial reactions. Call Of Duty announced season 1 and all its content on the 30th with a brand new trailer alongside the announcement. Activision seems to have heard all the criticism of the initial launch and much to their credit they have jam packed this upcoming season with content for every mode in the game. Including the returning battle royale mode, Warzone, and its new map of Urzikstan.

The multiplayer was already the most solid aspect of the title upon release but there’s a plethora of content coming to it now. These maps are accompanied by 5 new game modes such as gunfight, all or nothing, team gunfight, headquarters, and fan favorite infected. Also announced was Ranked play coming to Modern Warfare 3 this upcoming season. Zombies is another mode getting more content with the likes of new story missions, dark aether rifts, a new wonder weapon, new schematics, prestige challenges to both zombies and multiplayer and much more.
This season is also fill to the brim with seasonal and collaboration events. There’s mention of a Christmas/holidays event named Santa’s playground which promises new themed maps and modes. A returning collaboration with Amazon Original, The Boys, is coming back for a 2nd round. This time with two new operators being A-Train and a secret operator who has been leaked to be Firecracker. The Boys collaboration will also include a new limited time mode named Supe’d up. Now for the most random collaboration, Dune Part Two will be coming to Call Of Duty with two new Operators. Them being the Muad’dib Paul Atreides and Feyd-Rautha. This collaboration will also include an MW3 event titled Trials Of Power.
Theres much more fun stuff that will be coming soon to Modern Warfare 3, such as a plethora of changes to Warzone such as locals, new weapons, and of course as alongside all games today a brand new battle pass. More info will most likely be released soon but for now players can look forward to season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 coming on December 6th.
