Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is looking to be one of this year’s most exciting games, and has been carrying some impressive momentum especially considering some 30 minutes of gameplay are floating around on YouTube at the moment. According to Design Director Erik Odeldahl, however, we’re going to have to wait just a little bit longer before we get to experience Faith’s new story.
In an update on the Mirror’s Edge website, Odeldahl explained that the release has been postponed to June 7th in North America, and June 9th in Europe. This allows for developers to properly test new online technology that will support the Social Play features in the game. Odeldahl said the time was also necessary for player feedback from the Closed Beta to be properly addressed.
Catalyst was originally intended to be released on May 24th of this year – a two week delay isn’t too much of a stretch, but considering the game was already previously delayed from February 23, a new delay is a bit nerve-wracking, to say the least.
