Mira and General RAAM leaked for Killer Instinct Season 3

While we wait for Killer Instinct Season 3 to release on March 29th, two new characters were leaked early today, Mira and General RAAM.

Mira is the late twin sister of the Amazon warrior Maya.  Mira was first introduced in the New Killer Instinct’s story mode, but not until now has she become a playable character.  From her appearance, we could probably guess she is some kind of sorcerer.  With the gauntlets Mira wears, we could assume she plays like Maya with a balanced combination of projectile and fast melee attacks.

Perhaps the most interesting from this leak is the reveal of Gears of War Antagonist General RAAM.  Following Rash and the Arbiter, General RAAM is the third in a line of guest appearances for Killer Instinct Season 3.  There are no images of General RAAM at this time, but its safe to assume he will use the chainsaw lancer gun.  Much like with the Arbiter, it’s interesting that they used General RAAM and not Marcus Phoenix (or COLE TRAIN!), but it always fun to see cameos in fighting games.  It looks like Microsoft is making Killer Instinct their sort-of Smash Bros. by having these RARE and Microsoft characters join.  It would be great if they kept adding new guest characters every season, it would only be a matter of time before they have an XBOX Kinect Sensor as a fighter.

Along with the fighters, there was also info on a new game mode called Shadow Lords mode, which seems to be some kind of Global Competition Online Multiplayer mode.   It’s great that even though Killer Instinct was released more than two years ago for XBOX ONE, it’s still getting new content and updates. Killer Instinct has been slowly building an audience in the background of other fighting games, and now it’s an essential title for XBOX ONE owners.
