Minecraft Steve Joins Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Today

Minecraft Steve is joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate today. He will be the 77th fighter to enter the game’s famously diverse line-up. The DLC character will be available through the Fighters Pass Vol. 2. This purchase will give players access to six new fighters, including the highly-anticipated Minecraft Steve. If you just want the individual blocky character, players can buy the Challenger Pack 7.

According to the Smash Bros website, the character will come with a few different skins, including Alex, Zombie, and Enderman. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate update will also bring a new Minecraft stage that will randomly change from the six biomes seen in the original game. Seven new music tracks will also be available to players who purchase the Fighters Pack 7. The series director, Mashairo Sakurai showed off Minecraft Steve’s combat abilities in a stream earlier this month.

Players can expect to see characteristics of Minecraft Steve in the Super Smash Bros. new DLC character. The character will walk the same way he does in his original game and can even taunt enemies by eating steaks. According to Inverse, “Steve appears to have the ability to create blocks and build structures during round of Smash Ultimate.” This means he’s unlike any other fighter Super Smash Bros. has seen before. Minecraft Steve is the main protagonist in the sandbox video game developed by Mojang Studios. The game was inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame back in June

Fans eager to play as Minecraft Steve, Alex, Zombie, or Enderman will be able to download the new update tonight. Players can purchase Fighters Pass Vol. 2 for $29.99, which includes five other characters. Minecraft Steve is also available for individual purchase for $5.99. Super Smash Bros. players in the United States will be able to play the update at 9 pm on the East Coast, 8 pm Central, and 7 pm on the West Coast.
