Yesterday on June 10th, Mojang has released an official trailer for the collaboration with Minecraft and How to Train Your Dragon, the live-action reimagining of the movie. The bundle is available now on the Minecraft Marketplace for 1,340 currency, which is around $20 USD. Players may purchase the bundle for PC through the official Minecraft Marketplace site, and Xbox.
Minecraft is well-known to have the Ender Dragon boss battle at the end of the Minecraft journey, but they are adding in more dragons that players can train for themselves instead of battling it. The trailer shows Toothless at the beginning, the main dragon of the How to Train Your Dragon movie. There are other clips shown of more dragons and the player taking care of the dragon by feeding it, putting it in armor, and taking it along with them on their adventures. Players can also fly with their dragon, and the dragon can help aid players in different battles in dungeons and around the land.
According to the official Minecraft website, with the new Add-On, players can have dragons in their Survival worlds in whatever biome or area players spawn in. The description also says, “you will end up face-to-face with the hardy Gronckle, poisonous Deadly Nadder, the sturdy Hideous Zippleback, fearsome Monstrous Nightmare, and, of course, the speedy Night Fury.”
Players will also be able to bond with the dragons to earn their trust first by giving the dragon food- if players approach the dragon with a weapon in hand, things may not end well. Once the player earns the dragon’s trust, the player will be able to saddle up and take flight. Each dragon comes with their own special personalities- some are more hungry than the others and some crave more attention or naps than others. The dragons will hunt down prey and protect players from enemies once players create a bond with the dragon.
