Minecraft is Hosting a Live Virtual Event in September 2024

Minecraft is celebrating its 15th anniversary. Due to this, earlier in September 2024, Mojang Studios stated they have plans for future updates. One update stated by Minecraft: “Minecraft Live will now become a more focused broadcast, and it will happen twice per year. Each show will be packed with everything you need to know about the latest features we’re working on, what’s coming into testing, and the newest news from across the Minecraft franchise.” Not even a few weeks later, they revealed the official time and date for Minecraft Live.

Minecraft Live is a virtual event that anyone can view. Owen Jones, Director of Creative Communications at Mojang Studios, has officially announced on X that it will start at 1 p.m. EDT on September 28th. Owen Jones also stated that Minecraft Live will have a new look and reveal new game drops. By attending the live, the player will gain exclusive insight into all the new things that are coming to Minecraft and even more. All the information will come directly from the developers.

The YouTube description states: “This year’s Minecraft Live will have a new look and feel, but it’s still packed with the latest and greatest news. We’ll be unveiling never-before-seen game drops, giving you exclusive insight into secret stuff, and more!”

You will also have a way to engage with the developers directly. This allows a more unique viewing experience for the audience. It lets players gain better insight into the game and know what to expect.

Besides talking about new content and future updates, Mojang Studios has also confirmed that they will also be hosting an afterparty. During the afterparty, developers will play new features for everyone viewing. It will be a sneak peek into what players will receive once the developers release it. If you’re interested in watching Minecraft live, it can be seen on many platforms, like YouTube, Twitch, or the official Minecraft website. The headquarters are located in Sweden but the live will be in English. But don’t worry, the company has plans to translate it into other languages as well so everyone can enjoy it.
