Minecraft Earth is similar to what Pokémon Go is in that it requires individuals to go out and venture into the world to find fun and interesting task and dungeons related to the Minecraft Universe. While still in its infancy, it has already built quite a following with its continued updates. Earlier this month Minecraft Earth released their 0.27.0 (R27) update for the mobile game which saw the release of the season 11 challenge: Redstone and Pistons and Sticky Pistons. Now Minecraft Earth has released their newest update worldwide just in time for Halloween, the season 12 challenge: Boo! Spooky!
The update is the 0.28.0 (R28) update for the game and will include a new scary theme as well as increased chances to find hostile mobs in tappables during the Halloween holiday week. New mobs during this time will include the Witch and Viler Witch and include a new “Wide Angle Mode” which will effectively allow you to use your surroundings to your benefit. You will need to activate the Wide Angle Mode manually to use it and it may cause the wider AR angle to experience a partially blacked-out camera feed frame.
Music from Minecraft Earth and Minecraft Dungeons are now added to Super Smash Bro’s Ultimate following Minecraft’s Steve, Alex, Zombie, and Enderman joined the fighting game as a DLC. Which will include a Minecraft battling platform with various changes in scenery to give off that natural Minecraft environment.
With the new way of playing through Wide Angle Mode, it will be very interesting to see what the creators of Minecraft Earth come out with in their next update; considering their fun updates that have previously come out involving the new mobs, blocks, and challenge seasons.
