Minecraft Dungeons To Gets New Cross Play Support and New DLC

Announced at the Minecraft Live showcase today, Mojang revealed new DLC for Minecraft Dungeons coming sometime in November. Along with this announcement, there is also news of a new method of cross-play support for Minecraft Dungeons as well. This is set to be the third DLC expansion for Minecraft Dungeons since its initial launch in May. As the DLC expansion is called “Howling Peaks”, it will also introduce a new boss called the Tempest Golem, which creates wind storms from different mountain peaks. Along with this new boss, there will also be new missions, items, enemies, and other unrevealed aspects. The Howling Peaks DLC was also demoed at the Minecraft Live showcase on all of the platforms that are available for the game and was revealed to be released sometime in December.

This news also comes with the announcement that there will be a free update to Minecraft Dungeons that expands on the cross-play capabilities of the game. The update doesn’t have a definite release date just yet, but it is said to “bring together PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch player base together for some dungeon diving.”

The update for Minecraft Dungeons is said to be free with its release, and the DLC expansion pack is said to be priced at an unspecified price (which will probably be released closer to its launch date). Lastly, this update for Minecraft Dungeons also includes a change to the difficulty options. As this update regarding the difficulty is called “Apocalypse Plus”, this difficulty update is said to bring an additional 20 difficulties along with a mode called Apocalypse VIII. The power ceiling for players is also said to be one of the things raised with this update as well, along with new enchantments and additional items.
