Mind-Bending ‘Relativity’ Coming Soon

Ever seen the works of Dutch artist M.C. Escher? You know, like the infinite staircase and self-drawing hands? Well, there’s going to be a game that draws heavily from that imagery.

Indie developer Willy Chyr, based in Chicago, is working on Relativity, which is being described as “an exploration puzzle game that imagines a universe with a different set of physical laws.”

Judging by the below screenshots, it’s a game that is likely to turn your brain inside out, with its confounding level design and spartan visuals.

Players will have to use a “gravity manipulation mechanic” that allows them to turn walls into floors, and vice versa, in a quest to navigate the game’s insane architecture and solve “seemingly impossible” puzzles.

The game’s still very early in development, but will be available for interested players to try out at Sony’s E3 booth.

Relativity is being developed for the PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and Linux, and should be out sometime in 2016. Visit the official website for more information.
