Microsoft announced that four Halo titles were making their way to the Xbox One via backwards compatibility earlier this year. The four games were Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo: 3, Halo 3: ODST, and finally Halo 4. Since the announcement these games still haven’t arrived on current gen hardware, however developer 343 industries has shed some light on the subject in a weekly blog post and it looks like the players can expect the games to be added soon.
The developer stated that it understands that fans are excited about bringing these Xbox 360 titles to the Xbox one and that the development team is still working on the some final touches to give players the best experience possible. They also expressed that they are excited themselves to bring these games to the players.
“We are eager to get them into your hands! The Xbox back-compat team is hard at work on final polish and we continue to work closely with them to help test and evaluate all four games for launch.” So that alone maybe a good sign for players waiting on these remasters. “We’re taking extra time to ensure the experience lives up to fan expectations but I hear we’re making great progress and release should be getting closer.”
Microsoft made the announcement for the titles back in July and stated that they would be out sometime this year. The four games are already available to play on the Xbox One by way of the Master Chief Collection but allowing these titles to be available through backwards compatibility bodes just as well.
