MICA Team and parent publisher Sunborn Network Technology have announced Reverse Collapse: F, a cooperative third-person shooter in a science-fiction setting, with a 2028 launch planned across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android. Sunborn founder Yuzhong unveiled the title on May 2, 2026, in the concert finale of the studio’s 10th Anniversary Music Carnival, held at Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center, alongside a separate shooter project from the studio’s Hecate team, Girls’ Frontline: Blue Butterfly Contract.
Reverse Collapse: F is being built on Unreal Engine 5. The game’s setup follows the events of the Antarctic War, with civilization in ruin and pockets of survivors. Among them are humans, tactical dolls, and Shrike, who are venturing into territories deformed by the collapse and by anomalies that have emerged in its wake. They are looking for whatever future remains for the species. The protagonists are from a class of figures the studio is calling the “Gifted,” sent into that space with humanity’s survival riding on the outcome. The structure is cooperative player-versus-environment, with four-player squads. Maps are described as highly randomized, with terrain and enemy compositions that can shift between runs. Combat is being designed around a mission-and-extract loop and includes giant boss encounters that the team intends to develop further as a recurring core experience.
There are three rival factions available for players to choose from. The progression of each faction’s missions drives the direction of the larger storyline. Yuzhong has compared the design to a large TRPG, with the broader story framework set from the beginning of development and the immediate direction of each chapter shaped by what players collectively achieve. He has stated that the studio’s traditional strength in story writing is being treated as a competitive advantage on the project.
