Metal Eden Official Gameplay Trailer Released

On March 24th, developers from Reikon Games and publisher Deep Silver released a gameplay trailer for Metal Eden. The game is set to release on May 6th of this year and the trailer also showed that there will be an official demo of the game coming out on April 8th. The game will be available on PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, and  Xbox Series X/S.

The trailer shows the combat gameplay against many different enemies, and the narrator in the trailer tells players the ultimate goal of the game. The main goal is to reach the top chamber and break the last remaining seal, according to the trailer.

Metal Eden is an action sci-fi FPS game set in the city of Meobius, once a home turned into a deadly trap by mysterious engineers. Players will play as an advanced Hyper Unit Aska who is sent on a suicide mission to rescue the citizen’s Cores from the city.

The official Steam page goes more in depth with the story the developers are trying to tell players, “Dive into cybernetic warfare against the machine forces that protect the secrets of an artificial world. Fight a diverse roster of tough, agile mecha troops and elemental forces. Extract energy cores and destroy the INTERNAL DEFENCE CORPS shields to gain a battle zone advantage. Develop your arsenal and combat capabilities to become an unstoppable HYPER UNIT.”

The players will be playing as a Hyper Unit, which is an advanced battle android that is powered by Phantom Core and is built to protect. There are different abilities the Hyper Unit has such as enhanced parkour skills, dashing, and grappling. Hyper Unit Aska can also transform into an Armored Ramball which will help combating enemies.

Players will be able to fight off against many enemies that are separated into four categories from the weakest to the strongest: the Fooder, the regular enemies, the elite enemies, and the bosses. Within the categories are the different types of enemies such as the scrappers and scavengers, who are part of the Fooder category.
