Today, 5PM Studio, the developers and publishers of Memoriapolis, released a brand new launch trailer for the game. According to Steam the game was released on August 29th of last year for Early Access, but now there is an official launch date for the full game which is April 30th of this year. Memoriapolis will be released on PC through Steam.

The trailer shows gameplay footage and what the team has been working over the course of the game being only on Early Access, which is the Fifth Age. Memoriapolis is a city-builder, strategy based indie game where players will work on cities through four ages. Through the early access, players could only access three of the four ages. According to the YouTube description under the trailer, “the final age introduces the game’s hidden objective: building the Ultimate Collection, crowning the player as a legendary city builder.”

Memoriapolis focuses primarily on city-building across time and also adding in the historical elements. Players will be able to manage resources, make political decisions, and deal with different factions moving in, and the main goal for the player is to stay in power until the end of the Age of Enlightenment– all according to Steam.

There will be five ages that players will travel through and build. The five ages are Antiquity, Middle Ages, Renaissance, the Age of Enlightenment, and lastly the Industrial Revolution. According to the Steam page, “Each age lasts a number of in-game cycles before transitioning automatically. As your city evolves, so must your strategy. Some buildings can be upgraded to match a new era… others may need to go.”

Not only are there different ages to travel through over the course of the game, there will also be six different cultures in the game such as Military, Religion, Trade, Education, Production, and Politics. The cultures that players choose will shape the city as well when the civilians also their own factions. The factions will help unlock buildings and boost growth.
