Starting on Saturday, May 9th, from 8:00 am to 10:00 om local time, the Pokemon Snubbull will be available through Timed Research Tasks. Set to take place on Sunday, May 17th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm local time is an Incense Day event catered towards catching water and dark type Pokemon. As an exclusive for this month, incense packs of three will be available for one Pokecoin during the event and attract rotating water and dark type Pokemon by the hour. At the same time as this Snubbull Event, Pokemon Go is also holding a number of “Throwback Challenges” every week until the end of the month. These challenges consist of players going to different regions from the games and having to complete game-like tasks, with Galarian Pokemon tieing it all together at the end.

Field Research tasks are missions collected one at a time by finding and spinning different Pokestop signs. Once those signs are spun, different items and Pokemon will appear to which the player has to battle and or complete tasks. Every day Pokestops are known to give new missions and items such as TMs (movesets that Pokemon can learn without leveling up), berries, and even candies that increase their Pokemon’s level. In the rarest of cases, these Pokestops are also known to attract rare Pokemon depending on the task.
During the entire month of May, the electric type Pokemon Shinx will be available as a reward for every Research Breakthrough, along with some bonus candies to boost the Pokemon’s levels. For a Research Breakthrough to be completed, however, seven stamps have to be collected from different Field Research Tasks. Stamps that were collected from last month’s Research Tasks are able to be carried over to completion this month. In the added link is a list of the Research Tasks and rewards compiled by The Silph Road.
