Matthew “Sadokist” Trivett, a notable commentator for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports, has been officially suspended by Twitch following a personal livestream. The livestream featured Trivett and his friends playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with some friends. During the stream, Trivett used a racial slur as a way to taunt one of the online members.
At this moment the entire stream isn’t available, however there is a clip that captures the moment that Trivett used the slur. The clip has thus been shared to social media outlets and has made it’s way to a couple of popular subreddit communities.
Many fans who saw the clip didn’t hesitate to call out Trivett. This was due to the fact that Trivett recently condemned pro Overwatch player Félix “xQc” Lengyel for similar behavior. Later on within the stream, Trivett also suggetsted to a member of the community that he commit suicide.
“Go fuck yourself, ban yourself from the CS:GO community. Maybe put a belt around your neck and jump off a cliff with the belt still attached. That would be better for everyone.” Many people believe that this incident marks the end of Trivett’s career, but other members of the esports community are defending his character while still condemning his actions.

Lyngel was suspended from the Overwatch League and eventually dropped from the Dallas Fuel after the whole debacle. Even though there are some that are trying to defend Trivett, only time will tell if there will be any further disciplinary actions for his violations of Twitch’s hateful conduct policy.
