The classic RPG Final Fantasy VII has created a large cult following ever since its debut back in 1997. Much of it’s praise goes to the masterpiece of a score Nobuo Uematsu had composed for the game. Now fanatics of the game can experience the soundtrack in a whole new way with the release of Materia Collective’s Final Fantasy VII Remixed.
The project release celebrates the announcement of an HD remake for the beloved RPG. Similar in regards to other community remix projects such as OverClocked ReMix and Zelda Reorchestrated, the album boasts close to 200 musicians from renowned composers to performers to even YouTube personalities all working together to recreate and pay tribute to the iconic soundtrack. The album spans a total of five discs and re-imagines each track across a different variety of genres.
Featured performers include composer Dale North (Dragon Fantasy Book II), pianist Kyle Landry, acapella performer Smooth McGroove , and more.

Materia Collective is a group sparked by the excitement of the Final Fantasy VII remake announcement during E3 2015. A week after formation the project to produce and release a tribute album October was set in motion.
