Mass Effect Expansion Comes to Cards Against Humanity

One of the most memorable card combinations I’ve seen while playing Cards Against Humanity is “Autocannibalism is the newest fab diet.” It was my first exposure to the game and that memory will stay with me forever. Now, the college-themed card comparison game is getting a new limited edition expansion: Mass Effect.

There are new 14 cards in the expansion, which seems to be extremely limited. Cards Against Humanity‘s Trin Garritano said in an interview with Polygon that once they are out of the Mass Effect expansions, they won’t be making any extras.

Garritano said that there were over 700 cards drafted but “all but 14 of them were bad.”

“Whenever we’d look at the list of cards their team preferred, [there] was only cards about [sex],” Garritano explained. “We had to push through a few non-sex cards just to widen the appeal of the deck. It was an incredible problem to have and I am still absolutely tickled by this.”

Garritano even teased what one of the cards said: “An armored Krogan war-clitoris.”

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to be released soon, so the release of the expansion is right in line with the release of the video game. A new video showing what combat is going to like in the game can be seen below.

In more Mass Effect: Andromeda news, BioWare said that the game is not meant to be open-world in its structure but more of an “exploration-based” game. BioWare has also talked about some the game’s side quests may have been inspired by The Witcher series.

“We are approaching the completionist aspect very differently because we’ve done and learned a lot from Inquisition,” BioWare producer Fabrice Condominas said. “But we’ve also observed what other games have been doing, like The Witcher. And it was very important for us that the quantity of scope doesn’t downgrade the quality of whatever you are doing there.”

Mass Effect: Andromeda launches on March 21 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Bryan Ingram: My name is Bryan. I just graduated from High Point University with a degree in Journalism. I'm 25 and writing has always been a part of my life. I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
