With Mass Effect Andromeda news coming out, leaves a lot of people wondering what exactly happened after Mass Effect 3 before the story of this one. Well question no more because a new set of novels from Titan books. These “novels will act as prequel and sequels to the events in the games and will become part of the overarching Mass Effect saga, [and] [t]hey will focus on key characters and answer the many questions fans have been asking.” So these novels will be a part of the Mass Effect canon so everything in it will be factual and backstory leading up to the new game. So if you are a big Mass Effect fan and want to know what happened before the new game these books are just what you need.
This is planned to be a set of four books, but only the first and last ones have authors so far, the other two are unknown but are scheduled to be done by March and September 2017, while the first one is scheduled to be done this August and the last one is scheduled for March 2018. So these books will be done well after Andromeda‘s delayed scheduled release in early 2017 so that Bioware can “deliver everything the game can be and should be,” .
