Marvel’s Midnight Suns version for the Nintendo Switch has been discontinued, according to a recent blog post by 2k games and Firaxis Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, the blog post didn’t detail the reason why the Switch version was cancelled, only stating that “…a Nintendo Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer planned.”
While disappointing, considering the amount of delays in Midnight Suns development, it’s likely 2k Games and Firaxis wouldn’t want to waste more time figuring out how to port it to the Switch. Another likely reason for the Switch version’s discontinuation could simply be Midnight Suns poor commercial performance, exemplified by Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick comments on its poor sales when saying “It’s possible the release window wasn’t perfect.”

Those that are still interested in playing Marvel’s Midnight Suns can get the game already on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC.
The game is set in the darker, supernatural side of the Marvel Universe that follows the Hunter, a legendary demon slayer with a mysterious past that leads a team of legendary Marvel heroes as they attempt to stop the Mother of Demons from completing an ancient prophecy and summoning her evil master, Chton.
Midnight Suns will finally release its previously delayed PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions digitally on May 11, the same day as the release of its fourth DLC called Blood Storm. The fourth and final post-launch DLC adds X-Men’s Storm into the mix with her powerful wind and lightning-based attacks. Blood Storm brings in new story missions, a brand new Abbey upgrade, and some fresh cosmetics.
Every DLC will be available on May 11th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players who purchase Marvel’s Midnight Suns Legendary Edition or the Marvel’s Midnight Season Pass containing Venom, Deadpool, Morbius, and Storm.
