Square Enix reveals that the next-gen version of the game will feature “fast load times, boosted resolution and fidelity, improved texturing and armor destruction, ray tracing, and more…” They promise the game will look and play great on next-gen systems, but also makes specific note of PlayStation 5 advantages. Marvel’s Avengers was delayed back in January, changing the initial current-gen release date of May 15th to September 4th. The confirmation of the next-gen port as a launch title also confirms the 2020 holiday season as the game’s next-gen release window. If all goes according to plan, both ports should be out by the end of the year, keep an eye on the Marvel’s Avengers Twitter page for potential updates.
