This past weekend marked the second wave of the beta for Marvel’s Avengers allowing those who pre-ordered the game on Xbox One and PC the first chance of playing the game on their respective platforms. It also opened up for all PS4 players. The game is set to launch on September 4 and we already know some of the post-launch content coming for the game such as Hawkeye and Spider-Man who were announced as new characters that you choose from the roster. Now, we may know who all the characters will be coming to the game after data miners looking into the game’s files may have revealed what other characters will be added to the game.
Data miner RoboMatters found that characters looking to be added to the game will include: Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Falcon, HulkBuster, Kate Bishop, Mar-Vell, Mockingbird, Quake, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Vision, War Machine, Wasp, and Winter Soldier. While nothing has been confirmed or announced as of yet, each of the characters listed above had the “UnlockPlayableCharacter_” prefix attached to them in the game’s files.
Another Data miner 6plus4equals52 also found more code listing the same names but also found the names of the alter egos of the characters such as Peter Parker. This could indicate that some characters may be coming to the game not as playable characters but as new characters that you can interact with or will be part of a faction.
The Marvel’s Avengers beta concludes this weekend as the game will be open to everyone on all platforms. Players can play through some of the single-player campaign, co-op War Zone missions and experience some of the hero and world progression as players can reach up to level 15 and power level of 45 in the beta.
Marvel’s Avengers launches on September 4 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and will be available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
