Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Announces Full Year 1 DLC Lineup Including Teaser for Jane Foster’s Thor

Just a few months after the full release, the team behind Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has already announced the game’s first major DLC package. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, a multiplayer fighting game developed by Arc System Works and PlayStation Studios, officially launched on August 6, 2026, following its initial June 2025 announcement from Marvel Games. The new DLC, Year 1 Character & Stage Pass, is scheduled to release throughout the year, starting in November. It will feature four new characters, an entirely new stage, and various cosmetic drops.

The full Year 1 Character & Stage Pass lineup, as announced during EVO France, is as follows: Phoenix Cyclops, releasing on November 2, 2026, Jane Foster’s Thor, releasing next winter, Venom and the Klyntar Stage releasing in spring of 2027, and Jubilee, releasing next summer. Most recently announced, however, is Jane Foster’s Thor, with an individualized character teaser.

As the Mighty Thor, Jane Foster wields the legendary Mjolnir and will unleashing the electrifying power of the God of Thunder upon the battlefield!

Not many character details were revealed during this brief, forty second trailer, aside from some sketches and the introduction of Keiichi Okabe (MONACA) as the guest composer for this character. Thor’s brother, Loki, does make an appearance during the teaser, saying “My brother defeated me from time to time, but you never will, impostor.” After this line, the camera cuts to Jane Foster’s hand picking up a hammer engraved with a statement granting her Thor’s Power. “Whoever holds this hammer, if she be worthy,” it reads, “shall possess the power of… Thor.” This exchange and snippet leads some fans to believe that they might “see Jane fight off Loki while wielding Mjolnir when a proper gameplay trailer premieres at a later date.”

Unlike several other fighting games, the Year 1 Character & Stage Pass DLC for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will not be a free update. Instead, players can choose to purchase the full pass for $34.99, or individual upgrades for a lower cost. Currently, the game can be played on PS5 and PC.
